4-H20 Pontoon Classroom

This year Michaux received six summer camp scholarhsips from the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium. As a result, low-income students aged 10-12 were able to attend H20 day camps for free. Implemented by the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the 4-H20 Pontoon Classroom teaches children about water quality, conservation and watersheds through fun hands-on activities while visiting sites by land and water. The goal is developing watershed ambassadors who will spread new knowledge to their communities. We also hope these students will consider a career in the natural sciences.
