Each year students from Academic Magnet High School gather at Noisette
Creek to listen to presentations from environmental agencies such as Audubon,
Lowcountry Environmental Education Program, College of Charleston and
NOAA Coastal Services. These organizations give students insight into
career opportunities in the natural sciences, special projects and important
environmental issues. Students also get the opportunity to act on their
environmental concerns by participating in a creek clean up. Read
the article from the Post and Courier (below) for more coverage
of Creek Day 2007 and be sure to check back for more details about 2008’s
event.
