Restoration Plans

The Michaux Conservancy aims to restore 20 acres of a former Naval Base golf course to tidal salt marsh. Not only will there be a strong research and monitoring program created, but we will incorporate a sidewalk-to-trail system allowing the community to go from their homes to the waterfront (Noisette Creek or Cooper River at Riverfront Park). Access along the Noisette Creek to the edge of the Cooper River will be possible after 100 years because of Navy Base closure.
